Herbert the duck

Herbert the duck is E.C.’s roommate, and is always the one to be sitting in the background when Egg Chicken is getting himself in trouble. he always listens to e.c., but doesn’t always respond. now, Herbert’s backstory is a lot more interesting than his introduction, so don’t worry.

it was twenty years ago, and Herbert had just become old enough to leave the nest. he had no experience whatsoever about the outside world. he was ready to take on anything to survive.

once Herbert left the pond, he came across a jungle, it was loud and had lots predators, waiting to pounce. I am not afraid! he thought, even though he could hear his blood pumping through his veins. but, Herbert entered. in the jungle, lots of predators were sitting in the shadows, and for every step, Herbert panicked. Once he made it half way through the jungle, he had bruises all over, but don’t worry, he’ll be okay. anyway, he had to find shelter, before it got dark. He found a big leaf hanging on a tree, and walked under it. After about an hour, Herbert was asleep.

in the morning, all his bruises had healed, and he was ready to keep going. by noon, he was at the end of the forest. he came across a town, but it said: no ducks, geese, chickens or swans are allowed in Clawafornia. so, he kept on going. and, by three AM, Herbert had found a sign saying: chickens, ducks, geese and swans are allowed in Eggtopia. so, he went on in. a sign at one house said that there was a spare room in the house and that they would like a duck to come and stay.

well… I might have gotten it wrong about the “exciting” bit, but at least Herbert found a home.
